About me
I've just moved beyond my second 10 year run with Loveland Open Lands and Trails. First 11 seasons were as a long term seasonal, then back to the classroom for a few years, then off to work a couple of museums, and now living my best job providing outdoor and environmental education experiences for children of all ages. I am a Certified Interpretive Guide Trainer for the National Association for Interpretation (and also CIG myself). I've worked with the NPS and for the USFS, the Town of Windsor and the City of Loveland. My early years teaching were in Grand Junction, later in Loveland and Berthoud, CO I've taught 8th-12th as a classroom teacher (math, science, algebra, geometry, zoology, earth science, plus a little chemistry and physics, with a sprinkling of botany), and preK-5th (primarily) in my current EE position. I love draft horses and driving them, love local history and dance with a Victorian group, been married for years to the most patient man on earth (2 children plus numerous horses, dogs, sheep, and chickens). Excited to get recharged at the conference and share whatever insights might help others.
