About me
For over 60 years, Jefferson County Outdoor Education Laboratory Schools has engaged all Jefferson County sixth-grade students (approximately 5,000 per year) in a week-long immersive, residential, environmental, and civic education experience at one of two sites – Mt Blue Sky and Windy Peak. The program, which also involves approximately 1,000 high school leaders and another 40 high school graduates as interns each year, emphasizes personal growth, community building, and the application of learned values in students' lives beyond the program.
